i spend more time making my own music than critiqing others so ima keep most of these real brief as i would in typical everyday conversation about them with friends
tech n9ne - everready
(this review does not include the second disk because that is a piece of shit)
first let me say one of the best songs off the sampler, sleeping beauty, did not end up on the album. WHY? i guess so tech could fit WOW even more party/club songs. AWESOME!! the first notable thing on this cd is skatterman on riot maker. that fool rips it, the rest of the song is lackluster. the next thing worth hearing is bout to bubble. pretty much the entire album is club songs with no diversity what so ever. this happens to be the best one though so ive highlighted it here. jelly sickle smashes but if you didnt know that you dont know anything about the album. its the one song that is good enough to trick you into buying this disk. my world and the rain are the only other notable joints on this album. and lynch KILLS my world. overall tech makes the same club song OVER AND OVER throughout this whole album with different beats. anyone who thinks he really came diverse on this album either didnt hear it, or they are just clinging to his nuts extremely hard. overall tech makes great music, i just dont want to hear the same recylced crap for an entire album then get a BONUS of a bunch of shitty artists he works with (besides skatterman and snugbrim who havent missed a beat).
rating 4/10
the game - doctors advocate
just about the entire album is bearable. there are more great songs than terrible songs, and a few in between. california vacation is fuckin banging. snoop and xzibit helped game destroy that beat which was killin it in the first place. other bangers include da shit, its okay, and lookin at you. collabs that ended up terrible im sad to say include the nas joint, the busta joint, and the dpgc joint. they all had the potential to be beautiful and ended up terrible. overall this album came out a little better than his first. they are pretty even but he had half the songs from his first album released before the album came out so it was all old news to me. this he kept under wraps better. still a really good cd, but sooner or later this nigga needs to live up to his potential and drop a straight classic.
rating 6/10
i should review the new snoop too but i aint got the time. lemme just say its far from his best but its better than both of these two albums i just reviewed. be on the lookout for snoops blue carpet treatment
